I guess, something like Super Hexagon (Micro Hexagon on the C64) or Canabalt should be doable in Blitz Basic without too much effort.

Cheers everyone for all of the suggestions!

I'll need to take a closer look at a few of these when time allows, but I like the look of Door Door particularly - I will try and play it soon to get a better feel for it...

Sorry for being quiet, I have been a bit busy (by which I mean "going to the pub") recently.

Yes, I have! A platformer in the style of Door Door mentioned earlier. That has got legs, I think. It won't be a conversion though, it will be a new game made from scratch but with the basic concept in place. So expect new graphics, levels (and level structure), likely some modified gameplay elements... and definitely a new name (I don't know what yet, though).

When I have something to report, I will post

There are plenty of one screen platformers for C64, wich would be nice to have for amiga.

Bump! Just to say this hasn't been forgotten about. I've done a fair bit of planning and a very small number of test graphics. I have been a bit lazy though, but I'm hoping to rectify this soon. I've put up a blog entry (for the first time in months) here talking about this and Maxwell...

Probably the wrong thread ;-)
You should find some dudes with Australian accent, they do the best ports 😁
But in fairness, marathon runs really well on a Vampire-equipped Amiga through Fusion Mac Emulator so maybe the incentive to do a proper port isn't great.
