Black screen unless Icon>Info>Save

Hello,
Not sure if this belongs here, but I have a strange issue with whd, if I cold boot then open a slave by double clicking I get a black screen. CTRL+A+A restet then results in a guru.
However if before opening the slave, I look at the Icon>Information and save it without changing anything it's all perfectly happy.

I've just tried the beta release of WHD (19?) and it does not change anything.

Any ideas? Or how to diagnose?

A1200 booting off a CF/IDE OS 3.2 with an apollo 1230 & 32Mb ram.

Change kickstart 3.2, is badly created (Ctrl+A+A bug).
Perhaps other bugs too.
Install ORIGINAL kickstart 3.1 and later use LoadModule for loading one by one kickstart 3.2 parts.
You will be know which parts of ROM or WB is buggy/problematic.
After testing, later you can create own version of kickstart 3.2 from working kickstart parts.
But use correct mode for kickstart creation.
