Recommend me an adventure game

Not by Lucasarts or Sierra and not Beneath a Steel Sky (which obviously I have already played)

Have I missed anything worth playing?

Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Legend of Kyrandia, DARK SEED! (CD32 version recommended) etc.

If you want a quick preview how the games are (if you do not decide to watch the whole movies):

To be a tad more original, I recommend Cruise for a Corpse and Operation Stealth.

...and why did you exclude Future Wars? All 3 are well worth playing imo.

Many people seem to think Lure of the temptress is a bad game. Compared to Beneath a steel sky it may be true, but I always enjoyed it quite a bit. Also, Innocent until caught, Dreamweb and Les Manley In search for the King spring to mind as being quite enjoyable.

And... Rise of the Dragon, Willy Beamish and Heart Of China of course Although they MAY be considered Sierra games they really were developed by Dynamix And all three are great games.

Kinda difficult since I don't know what you like...Here are some games I would generally recommend:

Text Adventures:
Magnetic Scrolls games, Infocom games, Arazok's Tomb, Borrowed Time, Hound of Shadow, The President is Missing

Graphic Adventures:
Deja Vu I & II, Uninvited, Shadowgate, Chronoquest I & II, Inherit the Earth

Action Adventures:
Bermuda Project, Pandora, Mercenary I-III

Enjoy!

Try Legends AGA: http://hol.abime.net/864/screenshot

It's quite a long game and did leave me wondering what to do next more than once but otherwise it's fun.

I excluded Future Wars 'cause I haven't played it for more than the first ten minutes, so I can't really recommend it based on that. I knew someone would notice, though.

I love Lure of the Temptress, very underrated. Dreamweb as well, fantastic game - if a little short and easy.

Good idea! I would recommend the CD32 version. It's kept me interested for surprisingly long each time I've played it
