Widescreen in WinUAE - would it be possible?

A new GBA emulator has been released which captures the screen as you move around a room, so that it can draw widescreen (remembering the areas you travelled in). Which got me thinking, would this be a possible feature in WinUAE?

It could be really great, +1
info :WideGB is very similar to WideNES. It basically records the screen as it moves, and keeps the parts of the screen previously drawn in place.
When starting a game for the first time, or when reaching a new area of the game, WideGB doesn’t know yet about any parts of the screen. But as soon as you move, it starts recording the area graphics, and you can see the places you’ve been to appearing gradually.
When the player moves to a new location (such as entering inside a house), WideGB detects that the picture changed suddenly: it saves the previous scene, and starts a new one. It even looks for previously encountered locations, so that if a scene was already visited, it can be restored automatically.
Additionally, WideGB attempts to draw the HUD of the game (with timers, lifes count, etc.) with a translucency effect, so that the part of the game under the HUD are still visible

Not really. As usual, border isn't always actually a border. Also I am not interested in complex hacks that can only work <5% of programs.

The Amiga was never a widescreen computer, it was designed for 4:3 TVs and monitors.

Do people really hate black bars down the sides THAT much??

Read again. It has nothing do to with the 4:3 aspect. It's about more image shown left/right in 16:9, no stretch or crop. Works mostly pretty good for fixed resolutions, like old console games. But i guess it doesn't make too much sense for the Amiga with all the programmed (viewable) resolution stuff.
