I agree totaly they are but what you can do on a system that has really limited resources is far far more impressive than one made on any Highend PC with unlimited horsepower.. almost anybody can do that on a highend system but not many could do it on the amiga.

Back in the day you had to work with the sometimes self made tools and innovate in creating some rather spectacular results. As in no doubt we, well most of have seen.

Apples vs oranges. Yeah, what's being done on Amiga is easy to achieve on PC, but I'd sure like to see you try to achieve what's actually being done on PC nowadays.

Demos on the platforms I've mentioned above are great, but I love Amiga demos most of all because the Amiga is like a bridge between the old 8-bit retro hardware of the 1970s and 80s, and the modern PC - the system came out in 1985 and has both the oldschool look of the late 80s, but the great design and interesting ideas that PC demos use, even if graphically (even with AGA) it cannot hope to touch the latest PC demos. Besides, I love what Amiga coders like Britelite can do with relatively limited hardware.

And above all, I love what Paula, a sound chip from 1985, can achieve aurally, which is damned impressive considering it is around 34 years old!

Well sort of, there's still the artwork, music and direction. But yeah, from a technical perspective with super fast CPUs far less impressive.

Seeing Klone by DCS (Amiga AGA, runs sort of ok on 030 50mhz) at Assembly 99 is one of the reasons I got an Amiga 1200 a bit after.
