What Happened to ICD

Do any of you remember the Amiga (and Atari) vendor ICD? They made things like the AdSpeed accelerator, AdIDE, AdRam540, Flicker Free Video and more.

Chris Edgin was an employee at ICD based out of Rockford, Illinois, and has described what happened to that company in its final days over here.

I was also able to hunt down some incredible (and a bit sad) photography of the abandoned building taken in 2012 by a professional photographer, which are included in the post. Pretty interesting stuff if you're into that kind of thing.

Was that Atari 65/130XE found there on the floor, or was it placed there for the photo to look particularly pathetic?

I doubt that very much. It doesn't even have any dust on it.

I'm not so sure, the keyboard looks particularly grubby.

I sure hope someone collected and preserved all the leftover stuff there. Especially the HDDs which could have some great historical development code etc. on them. x.x I hate to see retro stuff abused.

Enjoyed reading the article. It makes for a very sad story,
I'm lucky enough to have an ICD AdSpeed 68010 still fitted to my Amiga A2000

Kind regards
Andy
