Is the german version also affected from the mentioned bugs?

Not many, most stem from the translation of the files from German to English and the re-integration of these files back into the game.

The German v1.05 version still has things like: the cursed item cannot be un-cursed, Sensrie's Tunnel key doesn't work, probably others. Mainly cosmetic. You can complete the game without noticing anything.

The "big issue" the German version shares is the memory allocator. People have reported it can crash in random situations probably due to a memory leak (which is unfixed). EAB member "st-th" said he'd replaced it but he never posted any files and hasn't been seen since 2013. CFOU and dfsliver were working on a fix too.

That said you can play the game for many many hours and many many times and not see it.

This could be called "the eagle call bug". It happens if you take the eagle, go somewhere, land, take it back, etc. It ends up with the game aborting with an error message "not enough memory handles available".


If you want to do full list of fixes, remember that the list of the ones i did is always available in the "readme" file from the patch archive on my site :

The fix for Sensrie's Key is documented. It is an error in 2Map_data.amb sub-file 1A8.amb. The fix was done by Metallic in 2000. I have not tested it but I do have a save file I think for this time.

Thanks. I've gone way beyond this and decrypted and extracted all sub-files in your patch and diffed all non-packed ones against the depacked originals to understand and document everything. I'm doing the same for the fixes originally from Metallic and Hexaae (some of which you have in your patch too). I am also creating save files near the bugs as I test the fixes so anyone else can do the same.

I've sent you a PM showing this is really happening unlike previous years.
