Indivision AGA MK2 & A1200 shielding

I have just pre ordered an Indivision 1200 AGA Mk2cr from AmigaKit. On their web site it states that you need to remove the metal shielding from the A1200 to fit it, but it's not clear if you can put it back again after fitting, or if it needs to stay off permanently, can someone clarity?

Is it safe to leave it off?

Thanks.

Send a message via MSN to fitzsteve
Discard and be happy :-)

It won't fit with the indivision in place unless you cut a hole in it...

From google searching

I will second my Amigo rkauer's statement, the RF shield is pathetically pointless....
Quote:
The shield is there to minimise RF Radiation generated by the A1200, a requirement for some countries such as germany which has strict FTZ approval procedures for commercial goods sold in the market place,
As my dear friends above state, it is pointless in the UK,

To concur with my friend Zetr0 it's of no practicable use - in its original position.

Indivision AGA MK2 & A1200 shielding

Aw, he can do that by just opening an A3000. There is not one that can't be traced by the DNA left behind.
