I managed to finish Eob 1 by cycling between around 10 copies of game disk 2. I kind of got a feel for when to glitches would destroy a save. I think one way was to immediately quit the game when glitches occurred. If I loaded another save from another disk the glitch was still there, and stayed with disk too. But I do not recall in detail. I checked for viruses and found none. I figure all that glitching was due to me not having cleaned my floppy drives good enough.

And yes, that is a horrible cheat. More like a punishment for trying to cheat.

Ah I misunderstood! I agree with you!
I also think that this was not a cheat at all, but a real problem (that happened because the game having 3 disks, and Amiga requiring disk swapping, unless the game was HD installed) that a player completely misunderstood and reported to some magazine of that era, finding then its way to HOL...

FYI: Insert disk 1... Then the image attached.

If I swap to another disk 1 in game doors are locked again.
