Is this normal

I sometimes find that when i format a disk in Amiga Explorer i sometimes get error messages saying that the disk is not verified or that it has a bad track????? Whatever.
But other disks will format and i can transfer adf files and use them on the amiga. However, even though some adf files transfer the amiga doesnt always run the software it wont even boot up any kick start disks that i have transfered. why?
