According to me the best looking Amiga is A3000T , it's huge and elegant.
I would like to have one but in Euurope are almost rare,I only see on USA auctions sometime!

For me it's the A500 (even if laser flames me ). It mainly because of nostalgia, but it looks really nice and not like a desktop. The CD32 is nice too, but I like the the computer Amigas more.
Okay now comes the part for that you all will beat me : The A1200 looks like the A500 except it's white... :ducks:

The 3000T??? It reminds me of an old PC clone looks-wise more than anything else. When you compare it to hardware from Sun or Apple from that time (not to mention the NeXTstation, which to this day counts as one of the best-looking computers ever) the 3000T is a VERY poor-looking machine.

Haaaa! the A500, my first Amiga was an A500 with kickstart 1.2, i can still remember playing KickOff 2 for the first time when smoke started to came thru the top vents, my sister asking me if that was part of the football game, as we both stared the event.I returned it to the shop in the next morning and received a just arrived brand new A500 with the newest 1.3 kickstart.Haaaa...glory days!

the worst looking amiga for me is the A500...was made of beige plastic (not white)...big and ugly and looks very ancient

The others amiga models...A2000..A3000 and A4000 looks today like a vulgar ancient AT PC

I have to say that the 4000t is a very nice looking piece of kit.

CDTV->A2000->A1200->A500

CD32 not top only because it could have been better...

and yes, I'd agree about the poor quality in general - especially the plastics.

Personally, I think that the A1000 is the only one that really comes close, but I'm open to opinions.
Madcrow you and I think alike

For compactness, the 1200 or the 600 is far superior but if you've got the room, a 1000 or even a 2000 looks great. But the 2000 doesn't have the keyboard garage

The 3000T is butt-ugly, even thought so back when it was new. It's a nice machine though...

I love very much 'all-in-one-box' machines like the originals A500 and A1200 and for much time i considered them the only desiderable computers for me

About A500 i think that when it was designed in 1987 it could be considered a well styled machine also if it could seem similar to others like Atari ST ( and not to forget the wide keyboard that was very good for typing)

A1200. Love the way it's an updating of the A500 design, but so much more compact. A600 gets an honourable mention for being cute.

Vulgar copy huh? So the Amiga had its joystick ports in the same place as the ST did it? Did the Amiga have daft slant shaped function keys that made it quite easy to hit two at the same time.

Oh dear, oh dear indeed!

Ive had my A1200 for 16 years also, and i spent 4 of those years smoking everyday in front of it, and getting hammered on Whiskey & Vodka till 4 in the morning on weekends smoking sometimes 2 packs of cigarettes in one night in front of it, and still to this days its white, but like with yourself, the space bar is starting to yellow a bit.

I think the first batches of A1200 like ours, were most likely made from great quality plastic.

I think the A600 is the nicest-looking Amiga. The A1200 looks okay too; I prefer the design of these machines over the A500.
