I'm just wondering...
What use is a 3.5" FDD with 1.2 MB compatibility ?! As far as I know, 1.2 MB is a format for 5.25" disks only, is it not ?

The one I'm using was ordered from "Freecom Technology", nearly a couple years ago : it can read and write 720 KB/1.44 MB disks, and will also format the latter. It proved most useful, until I eventually purchased "CrossDOS V7", which kind of boosted up the speed - dramatically ! - when transferring the data from my physical Amiga to WinUAE...

Isn't that another regular USB drive with hardcoded format support? (+extra 1.2M support)

I'm sure you are right Toni.

The reason why I'm interested in this is to read / image FM Towns floppy disks (see attached for different FM Towns floppy disk options)

FM Towns floppy disks come on 3.5" with 1.2MB...

Just thought that this FDD might also be interesting for Amiga users

That's exactly what I want it to do

Didn't realise that many of them do though, thanks for the info.
