Amiga Hall of Fame best of the 80's
Just for a bit of fun here are the winners from all the 80's hall of fames I've done so far. Now lets vote which out of them is the best game of the 80's. I'll do this for the 90's and then all the years are done I might do a best game of all time poll using the winner from each year.
To remind you: 85-86 Winner with 17 votes Defender of the Crown 1987 Winner with 19 votes Arkanoid 1988 Winner with 11 votes IK+ 1989 Winner with 06 votes Elite |

Well I didn't vote for any of the above games in each of the year polls so I'm really not a great fan of any of the games on the list. I've voted for Arkanoid as it's my fave game from that list, although I do understand how good Elite is as a game, I'm just shit at it and never play it!
So for me it's mr bat and ball |

Best game of the 80's? Even for fun, this is way too heavy for these games... D.O.T.C. for sentimental reasons, IK+ is the more fun to play, but hardly Game of the 80's just for flying heads and embarassing trousers!

IK+ again for me, a game I did vote for originally.
It's doing something right to still be actually played by myself today and not just talked about. |

I'll have to go for IK+ from that list, but as someone mentioned before, they look like shit titles. Arkanoid?

Bleah.
I suggest to take at least the best three of each year, Those 4 titles are in some way embarassing to be considered "the top of 80"... My 2 cents... |

If it was top thrre from each year it would have been:
Defender of the Crown Marble Madness The Bards Tale Arkanoid Star Glider Leisure suit larry in the land of the lounge lizard IK+ Dungeon Master Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders Elite Battle Squadron Populous Rainbow Island The last two titles were tied for 3rd. But would it not be strange for a game to be voted best of the 80's (even if it was for fun) yet it didnt even win best game of its year? Nice looking list though. I think that maybe it should have been the top 3 from each year, it would make it a more realistic list, trouble is so many people have posted!
Oh well, this list is only for fun! I would have voted for Rainbow Islands now though. |

Top 3 games from each year of the 80s would seem better (my vote would go to Battle Squadron). Poll is a bit sparse otherwise.

If I get two or three more 'top 3 would have been a better idea' posts then I'll do it, the sparse one can be for fun and the top 3 one can be a 'quite fun, but a bit serious at the same time' poll.
Thanks for the typo spot KG I've put it right now. |
