So mount PC0 and then open a DOS shell and type "PC0: info" is that what you mean?
No. Type just

PC0:

and press enter. This is the same as if you enter cd pc0:. Just any command accessing PC0: will do, it just has to be accessed to be activated (in case that Activate=1 is missing in the DosDriver).

After that, enter

info

and press enter. This command will list all mounted devices and volumes. PC0 should be among them.

Before you mount PC0, mark it's icon and choose Icon / Information from the menu. Check the tooltypes if there is an entry for Unit=x. It should read Unit=0 for PC0 and Unit=1 for PC1.

Ok, I found two different CrossDOS files on two different 3.1 disks.

One was on Storage3.1 and the other on Extras3.1 (or something like that).

I moved them BOTH onto the Workbench disk...it works!!!!

Thank god for that and thank you guys very very much for helping!

It's only on an A500 with no HDD at present, so everything needs to load from the one disk.

I'm assuming that you've got your installed on the HDD and that's why it's simpler?
