Cheers! Yep it was starting to become a struggle, with lots of testing and many games needing 1.5mb ram, so this will prob be the last volume of this mixed game kind for a while, although i do have plans for 2-3 other genre volumes which i have already started, one of which is for Infocom fans.

Added the following solo CDTV game discs;
#52 - Secret Of Monkey Island, The (1MB) #53 - Dreamweb (1MB) Both are on Vol.4 but due to loading via the workbench compilation menu they require more than the stock 1MB on there, these solo discs work with just 1MB RAM. #54 - Impossible Mission 2025 |

The Adventures of Willy Beamish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ad..._Willy_Beamish would be like originally targeted. Weird that there wasn't CDTV version, but instead multidisk version.

Thought he was using emulation. That game won't run on a real cdtv

Alien Breed runs on an "A500 / OCS / KS 1.3 / 512KB Chip & 512KB Slow Ram"... The CDTV is quite similar in specs; but "1MB Chip RAM" The reason why this game probably doesn't run on his CDTV, on whichever "compilation" ScottC2010 is talking about; is that the WHDLoad version was probably used (that's my guess anyway without checking). |

I will have a look sometime at upgrading memory in the near future - maybe look at a rom sharer too so i can use both kickstarts as well |

Random question:
I found out fairly recently that Kickstart 1.3 forces a CLI to open every time, even if you don't run anything that prints in the startup sequence. So that wastes a tonne of ram, but you can claw some of it back with Add21K, and you can claw even more back with some tools that Ross gave me (40K or so). CDTV seems to use a version of Kickstart 1.3, so I could possibly investigate using Ross's tools to save some RAM there. Are there any games that should try as a test? Possibly Lemmings 2: Tribes? I vaguely remember trying, and failing, to make a CDTV version of that. |
