"Not needed" as in "got some already"
It's hard to ride 2 busses at the same time...

Orygin Web Browser
AFAIK no java (javascript exists at some point) and no flash, but does Acid3 in 100% since it's the same engine as Safari 4 (and Chrome, but they still use a older version of the engine that has a few points below 100)

Is there a port of OWB for OS 3.x and maybe even 68k? As far as I can see it's OS 4 only.

I think yes, saw a news on PPA once, but I ain't sure now...
There's definitely also a version for MorphOS

---=== EDITED ===---

A quick search revealed this old version 1.3 as proof:

Tested it last December and it even works on real Amiga 040/25! But you have to be VERY patient... I think with a 060 is somewhat usable. Only not having toolbar is little scary...

Merlin updated to version 0.7 16-jun-2010

From the author:

I got faster internet, with a different type of account .. which means the IP-numbers
of the servers also changed, these hold the startup pages of the browser.
So startup pages did not work anymore.

So i made more or less a maintenance update V0.07.
This version still uses the old engine, but has a lot of fixes, is faster and uses less memory and stack.

Added a photo of a Linux version now on fedora 12 with fixed graphics and fonts.
