Not that we hadn't had Zool with shameless lollypop advert and full product placement already 12 years ago...

James Pond 2: Robocod, with shameless Penguin adverts dotted around!

There's are quite a few German games with product/people placements:

... there is one Amiga game which mentions a brand of chocolate called Das Umweltbundesamt
... another features a German singer called Karl Klammer
... yet another Amiga game has a German phrase "Same procedure as every year, James" which was famously said by Marlene Dietrich in the Werner Herzog movie 'Angst essen Seele auf'

Microprose F1GP.

Quite a few from what I remember, but for example on the HOL Page you will see Duckhams QXR oil advert.

Wasn't there a shameless PSX game called.. 'Pepsi Man' or some such? It featured a hero, capable only of dispensing Pepsi cans, running down a road chased by a giant can of Pepsi.

Or was that just me?

And of course you forget the Amiga game Moonwalker which promoted Michael Jackson. I was going to say something else. But didn't.

There was Georg Glaxo, which was a game for the drug company Glaxo. (No HOL entry? I can do some snaps for that i guess)
Then you had Snapperazzi, a sorry excuse for an advert for The Sun, Domino's Pizza AND Fizzy Chewits!!!

I think we shouldn't include movie tie-ins and the like, should we?

Er.... you're kidding, right? 'Das Umweltbundesamt' is a part of the government - the ministry of environment. "Same procedure as every year, James" is a quote from the famous new year sketch 'Dinner for One'.

must company is not lost, they just bought and closed. So the company who bought them owns the rights to the games
