VBCC and ARM

Now that some cards are containing an ARM processor (ZZ9000 and maybe the Warp4060 if it ever materializes...does the Warp1260 have one?) are there any plans to add ARM to vbcc/vasm? @phx.

EDIT:

duh...Vasm supports ARM LOL. Any examples on how to support ZZ9000? I think it is v7 while vasm is v1-4?

Do you need any instructions which are not in v4?

I think support for v5 up to v7 should be easy to add, as cores are still 32 bits. But there is also an FPU now, which was not present in v4.

It's more than ten years ago since I wrote the ARM backend. Time passes, and I have not followed the developments - which are way too fast...

Maybe you want to look at the backend yourself? The best case would be to simply define some new cpu_type-flags (and cpu-type command line options) and add opcodes to the table in cpus/arm/opcodes.h.

Not that far yet. I'm looking at which possibilities there are to develop on a real Amiga with a ZZ9000 or later a Warp4060.

In the end I want to reuse a large part of the c code I am now writing for my powerpc.library implementation for ARM.
