Transfer from PC to Atari ST to Amiga 1200?

Ok, this is weird, I know, but I don't think I have any other option until I get a transfer kit.

The only way I can think of to get files to my unmodded Amiga 1200 (Yay, it's just arrived!) is perhaps through my Atari ST, as it's the only thing that can write floppies. I also don't have any null-modem or whatnot.

I have a transfer setup for the ST, so I can get stuff to it from a PC. So I'm wondering how to get it from the ST to the Amiga via floppy.

Does anyone know of a way to do this? I'm thinking I might need to get some tools and split ADFs into chunks that fit a floppy. Splice them back together on the 1200 and write.

Oh, BTW, I'm a complete noob to Amigas. Literally the first day I've ever touched one is today!

My goal is to get a demo over to the 1200

You should be able to use easyadf from amiga kit and cross dos on your 1200 for this.

Thanks!

I spent a while trying to figure out how you use CrossDos.

Got LHA installed, unpacked some stuff. Got a couple of demos going

Best way i know to transfer files to/from A1200 is with CF cards. Got a pcmcia adapter on A1200 side and USB card reader on pc side.

In my opinion FTP or Samba is a better solution for A1200 which can be so cheaply and easily equipped with an ethernet card.

If you can get your hands on a "Null modem serial cable" and a workbench disk you can "install" a comms program such as AmigaExplorer over the cable which will allow you to easily send programs to the Amiga and read/write disks from the PC

Ultimately the best solution is a CF card connected to the internal 44'pin IDE and/or PCMCIA.

How much RAM do you have in your ST / Amiga? Does either have a hard drive?
