layers.library 45.27 issue with game UFO AGA

Found an incompatibility in excellent layers.library 45.27 from Aminet: the game UFO AGA (perfectly starting from and quitting back to WB) doesn't open the screen correctly with layers.library 45.27 installed, or to be exact the gfx won't be correctly updated on its custom screen.
I tried with promoters to force PAL 320x256, adding Exclusive screen and other Flags, but didn't work.
Renaming LIBS:layers.library UFO AGA will work fine again instead, and the screen opened by "Geo" and "Tactical" tasks will be correctly updated.

It seems the only "WB game" incompatible anyway… but it's a pity because both new layers.library and this game started from WB are a must have!

P.S.
Not a serious issue since there is also a WHDLoad for this game, anyway

Sorry, it's me again Luca ...
since I never play any games I do not even know how to download your game Ufo AGA and test it, but I just want to tell you that I also noticed and reported another small problem with ThoR's excellent layers.library. That occurs when I display some AmigaGuide files and then resize the window several times so that the contents needs to be rearranged and updated. It sometimes freezes the window update (busy pointer forever), but only in combination with ThoR's own rtg.library, which also comes together with the layers.library.

Can't replicate… But my versions are:

layers.library 45.27 (12-Dicembre-14)

Ok, I can live with rtg.library 40.3994 even if nobody would confirm. I thought, you could test another rtg.library to see if there are problems with your AGA game, too.

Can't find 40.3992 (P96 2.1b) to apply 3994 patch by Ville9

Thank you. Tried all possible combos of LIBS:Picasso96/rtg.library + layers.library 45.27 but didn't solve incompatibility with UFO AGA launched from WB, unfortunately.

I do not have the UFO AGA original install on my A1200 040, only the WHDLoad version. I just tried to start the game by launching GEO and/or Tactical file from WHDLoad install. I get hits when starting GEO or Tactical but I can switch to UFO game screen. Up to code enter screen it seems to work and quits to WB after enter some wrong codes.

With layers.library 45.27 the info text for the code page isn't visible. Without it is. However, I don't know if it is a normal UFO behaviour, but on UFO screen the upper part of the WB screen is visible and I can switch to it with the mouse and drag WB screen.

I've also tested this UFO game on a clean OS 3.9 BB2 system. Without ThoR's layers.library after the loading screen it switches to a menu screen where you can start the game or quit, but with the new layers.library this menu does not appear on the screen.

I can not confirm that such a game is a "must have", I'm getting sick already when I see the very first images of this game. Sorry, but it looks like trash.

Youre quite wrong about that, UFO is highly regarded.

this game is an absolute must have even on pc !!!! one of the best game ever.

Hi again,

I now have the most recent, unreleased versions of LIBS:Picasso96/rtg.library + layers.library (they are very recent!).

They will be released by their IP owners sometime in the near future.

I am not able to share them, but I can test to see if they work with this UFO game, and report back to the developer/s about this.

So if you could point me to the game archive, and tell me what system configuration I need to duplicate with WinUAE to get the bug, I could give it a try.

Looking forward for that new release ! Layers.lib 45.27 has been a must have for me like Peter's IconLib already is.
