DeliTracker2 + AHI noteplayer hiccups in WinUAE

Since DeliPlayer DeliTracker2 renders modules very accurately (unlike HippoPlayer and PlayOGG), I'd like to use it as my only player for them.
I'm having a problem that only happens when using AHI (through AHI noteplayer). It fails to keep a steady tempo.
It's difficult to explain, so here's an example:

Does this happen on a real Amiga?

The problem never occurs with other applications using AHI. Tried with AHI 6.6 and 4.18 with same results. If I use the internal 14bit noteplayer, the tempo is correct but the sound quality obviously degrades very much. I also tried cycle-exact chipset emulation.
