Thanks Prowler, I uploaded one more last night (my last video for a little while) "The Amiga Tutor Video" which is a very basic look into WB 1.3 set up for beginners.

Can you move this one as well please Prowler...

@Peter

What resolution are you creating your AVI files in?

I've found the DPAint IV Advanced DVD. I just wanted to check on the resolution size to match the same as yours.

My AVI at 720 * 576 is 12GB uncompressed and 8GB compressed.

Would Mpeg files be better as they are a lot smaller? i.e. 3.5GB uncompressed. The compressed file is still being created at the moment.

Hi davideo, I am running with the "Auto Gordian Knot" defaults which creates the AVI file at a width of 704 pixels by the height of 528 - 1696kbps - data rate - 25 frames per second - Xvid compression. This is the default setting to create an AVI file that would fit onto a CD. (700MB) I thought that setting would be of sufficient quality and the size of the file would be easier to upload/download.

Hope that all makes more sense to you than it really does to me... :-)

Hey this is great stuff. Would it be possible to put all these videos on a Dvd for watching on TV?

If you download the AVI files to your PC you could use DIVX or similar software to create a DVD to play on a standard DVD payer.

I don't want to personally create a DVD of the files myself Steve.

In time, if we can get enough videos uploaded and there is enough interest I suppose we could look at what other options we have to display these videos.

Personally I think a nice web page front end would be a good way for people to be able to watch them... maybe Commodore is Awesome might be interested in doing something like that one day... I think these videos would just get lost on Youtube - it's too vast.

I have a bunch of the Amiga Format tapes somewhere. I can't promise to capture them in the short term, but I'll keep this in mind when I have a chance to

@Peter

I've given up on trying to get DPaint IV Advanced down to the required size

A DVD is on its way to you as we speak

I hope you get on better than me.

I have uploaded... Amiga Format Presents... "The Guide To Upgrading Your Machine"
The video is described as being a full length tutorial but in actual fact only lasts 24 minutes! - I would not have been pleased with this back in the day if I had paid £14.99 for it!! Anyway, it's worth watching if only to see Nick Veitch looking so young

Thanks again to Paul_s for sending me this video to convert to AVI.
If anyone else has has any tapes or DVD's please think about sharing them or sending them to me for AVI conversion.

Can the upload be moved to the correct area please ... :-)

@davideo - I have converted the Deluxe Paint Advanced Techniques DVD you sent me to AVI - It is a much better quality picture than my original upload so thanks for this!

I will upload this version overnight tonight.
