Hi,

Recently I was experimenting the trainer cheat for Super Hang On.

"Cheat mode:
Begin game play in Africa and achieve the highest score on this track. Enter 750J as a name at the high score screen and press Fire. The name will change to .... to confirm correct code entry. Hold [Ctrl] + [Left Alt] + Z + T while the credits screen is changing into the options screen. After a brief pause, the screen will turn black. Release all keys. If done correctly, a prompt for new outer and inner road turn effect coefficients values will appear. Enter the values with the numeric keypad, which determine how well your bike corners. Enter a high number for more skidding, enter a low number to handle corners better. Enabling cheat mode will also activate a machine gun that can be used to destroy other bikes or obstacles. Press [Left Amiga] during game play to fire the gun."

The cheat does work and allows you to use machine guns with Left Amiga key, and also allows you to turn all corners at 324k/mh after enabling a low values with the numeric keyboard on the cheat screen.

Would it be at all possible to add on a revised slave at all?

- Easy Turns (Low value number cheat)
- Enable Machine Gun on splash screen

*** I also noticed the game has an annoying high pitch beep noise on a1200 quickstart mode. a600 quickstart mode seems to work fine without high pitch beep noise, can this be fixed please?

In my opinion it's obsolete to include options for cheat mode already builtin.

I agree, though this cheat is quite difficult to get you have to play and beat the highest score then add the numbers to make it happen, Then it's enabled.

This cheat is for fun only anyway. One time tried is enough. It isn't of any use in the game as you will still crash in corners etc.

No this is not true.. You do not crash in the corners. I played the hardest stage with the cheat on right to the end, I had machine guns blasting the whole time, had turbo kept on the whole time, I used the cheat number "10" & "10", I was able to turn every corner at 324k/mh without touching a corner.

This is the screen where you type in 10 & 10 on numeric pad

I think it would be great to have it added as I had more fun with it enabled.

The high pitched beep sounds are caused by CPU dependent delay loops in the sample players. I have just fixed these. I may add an option to enable the built-in cheat as well but have not decided yet.

So many games have trainers that break games I dont understand the problem with having the option for a trainer/cheat? Without it the cheat will get forgotten in time

Wepl clearly stated he doesn't want the cheat so I respect his wishes as he made the original patch. And the cheat is easy to look-up on HOL or similar sites anyway.

Easily to look up but tedious to activate. Anyway Wepl's the man he has the say all good.
