Copy FDD amiga games to CD to play on CD32?

Hi,

Is it possible to copy a FDD amiga game onto CD and play on the CD32?
Can someone explain how?

I have checked out the great CD32 compliations and there are some games I have and want to play that are not included.

Thanks

Works well with some games, but not all.

Oh, and only Amiga DOS games.

All WHDLoad installed games which use less than 1 MB RAM (without preload) should work. You may get some flickering on loading for larger games.

That sounds pretty good to me!

So will creating a CD32-bootable ISO with these files require addition of the RMTM file...or just adding the CDTV/CD32 .TM file with MakeCD?

It should work. You haven't specified what kind of error or problem have you encountered, without that we can't help...

It works fine... it must be user error.

Use google... people have already compiled 100's of CD32 WHDload games onto one CD(s) with a menu.

cd32-888
cd32-444
cd32-350
cd32-200

Must be my error then.

Boots to CLI and then says "bad boot hunk" or "bad load hunk"...one of the two, I don't know, I'm going to bed...23 CDs chucked in the bin already tonight.

FYI with a small adjustment of the laser diode variable resistor you can use CD-RW on CD32

Take care when adjusting, scribe the current position before turning and keep a note of rotations and direction. Turn it wildly and you may never read another disc again.

Well, since I'm having absolutely no luck making my own...do you know where I can get those? They sound like fun!

It however should be noted that I DO still want to make my own, but it's just not working for me yet!

I got it, but didn't have any time to fiddle around with it.

What is required in order to add a game to your disc Wepl...do you just dump WHDload game folders in it?

PZ.

*EDIT* - Yeah, not that simple...but I think I've almost figured it out.

Have altered menus, put slave files where I think they should be, etc.

Need help WRT the kickstart images though. Do I just replace the existing files with real ROM images and give them the same name or what? This seems to be the point where it all falls apart for me when loading from the modified menu.

I've got all of these now and have issues.

Some games "hang" when loading. Sometimes the intro screen just keeps flashing an whenever a game "hangs" you can hear the CD drive "clicking" like it's having trouble tracking the disc. This seems to happen more on the discs with more games, getting more frequent as I use a disc with more games than the last.

I've got two machines and they both react in exactly the same manner.

The discs were all burnt at 4x speed (slowest Nero will go).

My machines are NTSC units...would that matter?

Is it however more probable that I need to use different/better quality CD-Rs?

PZ.

*Edit* - I also tried burning them with CloneCD, but get exactly the same problem.

Sounds like your CD32 doesnt like your CDR medium.

Try a couple of different dyes.

If that doesn't work, risk adjusting the laser diode pot.
