Gosh, Mark seems to be a really nice guy, and he's worked on so many games that I've played. I think eight out of ten games mentioned. Blue pill or red pill? |

The fanboys call for Matt's blood this time.
This is what George Lucas must feel like. (Only that GL deserves it.) Is this drama comedy or tragedy? Anyway it's doubtless the most controversial MattChat so far. [ Show youtube player ] The first part is surely what made the series famous. (It even featured a popular German [ Show youtube player ].) Gothic2 generally kept the high standards of part one, maybe even surpassing it. To call pt 3 initial release bug ridden is a gross understatement. It was barely playabel, and in some cases not at all. People grabbed their forks and torches. But somehow the Gothic community really took off during that time. They are updating that game up to this day, and it hardly resembles the originial any more. I think counting all in part 3 is the most interesting. Then there were two more competing sequels: Arcania and Risen. |

Hi, I just watched #134 last night. EXCELENT interview! I had no idea Peter was the boy in Mr Hobbs Takes a Vacation - one of my top 4 favourite Jimmy Stewart movies of ALL TIME (only just behind The Jackpot, You Cant Take It With You, and The Shop Around the Corner). Wow! Small world! Really looking forward to watching the rest of this awesome interview.
NB. On the subject of Ale of the Week - I always enjoy it so I hope it will stay. It's unique (not just on the internet but of all broadcast media) in the whole world! - so why kill it? I enjoy waiting to see if Matt gets too drunk to deliver the quote at the end. ha ha. And this is coming from a lifelong teetotaler. |

Hehe, thanks Lifeschool!
I enjoy the Ale of the Week segment. It gives me a great excuse to splurge on the premium fuel of champions. Well, at least fans of champions. |

This. Was. Great. I can't remember you taking applications for future game reviews. Did I pass out during the last episode? |

Neat, another view on Stonekeep. I'll be sure to watch that this evening.
Edit: holey jebus, after that guy is done telling his story you're exhausted! Never mind that he jumps from thought to thought, this guy has seen it all and -lives- to tell about it. Quite honestly this is my favorite episode so far, but I'm going to reserve the other episodes for other days. Phew! Last edited by gimbal; 14 February 2012 at 20:44. |

Yay, David Fox of Lucasgames! Masterblazer, ZakMcKracken! I've been waiting a long time for this interview. Haven't watched it yet, but I'm sure enough dancing round the PC while its loading. Thanks Matt. He is really one of my favorites.

There it is, the masterpiece
[ Show youtube player ] I think Mr Fox' answer on your question why Zak is popular in Germany is deliberately evasive. Of course there were Sierra games in Europe. All of them. Does he seriously imply it was a mere coincidence that a game about alien mindbenders is published the same year the wall and with it Warsaw pact is torn down by one singer/actor from America? Excellent interview with David Fox!
If I can make a small request..? David Braben of Elite / Frontier fame. That would surely be an awesome interview... |

That Cadillacs & Dinosaurs looks kinda WTF to me. But then it was the time of Rebel Assault, which wasn't that different gameplay wise. What comes after 17:17 must be the most epic MattChat line ever. |

[ Show youtube player ] [ Show youtube player ] Comments: Wasteland - What an awesome game. LMHO when Matt starts talking about rats and finds one. RATS! Very funny indeed. Really wacky game. Killing babies?, indeed! The Fat Man - Who is this guy? I know a lot of seriously popular video game musicians but he passed me by. He wasn't too keen on owning up to being involved with Maniac Mansion, and that's all I remember about the interview - except for a very interesting idea regarding music and slot machines. For Gods sake Matt - bring the guy back to talking about games! Out of all the Matt Chat episodes this is the only one which seems like a ramble. |
