AROS Vision 1.5.8. uploaded

I have just uploaded Version 1.5.8. of AROS Vision. It is much more stable and reliable than before and includes updated system files and roms and a number of new additions in audio and internet including GoatTracker and NewsCoaster. Thank you for the permission to integrate Amijeweled Demo.

Is there a way to run it at E-UAE WIP4? I tried it and it runs, but I can't make it work in high resolution. It seems that the monitor drivers you use are working only with a windows system?

Seems nice in the video, but boots and works very slow even under 060 and plenty ram in winuae.

I don't know what hapens. I've downloaded the System_Classic_Light. It runs with WinUAE, but with my A1200 ACA1230/56 it starts booting but later I don't see anything, it's like it has a wrong screen mode, and I've tried some.

What screenmode should I try or is there something I'm missing?

i think it might need RTG?

Easy enough to test, just disable RTG (expansion) under WinUAE and see if that kills it.

Have you included the two (ROM) files from boot? Can you start the screenmode prefs?

Classic_Light is still not updated (on my todo list for next days). Preinstalled is RTG screenmode so first boot it in emulation and change to PAL/NTSC

Yeap, I included the two rom files, and I can open the screenmode prefs, where I see the NTSC and PAL screenmodes only

It seems E-UAE has problems with graphic cards.

Ah I think I know the problem. Aros 68k uses "Picasso96"-Emu from WinUAE for RTG but this is not available in E-UAE. And if you can simply install Picasso96 in it is not known to me. So best is you use (if possible) FS-UAE that is available for Linux and Mac and that is based on WinUAE and also emulates Picasso96.

It works without RTG, but has only 198,8k left of graphic mem. I guess it should use CyberBugFixAga or some patch to use other memory.

When trying to test any monitor mode it doesn't work, so it's very painful.
