Some updates!

I found a very nice solution for my "velcro tape is not enough" woe.
It's called 3M Dual-Lock:

It's much, much more stronger than velcro tape (I can't take two things apart that I put with this!), and so is the glue used to attach it to things.

So I put this thing in my PicoPSU and set ahead to installing it in my Amiga.

(Do you think this is good positioning? The 3M Dual-Lock is also high-temperature resistant )

I also decided I am not patient enough to wait for the ATX PCBs, so I am connecting this myself with an ATX to AT adapter I just bought. Will rip off the AT connector and use the rest!

Now where would I put the DC connector? I found a very nice place:

While I was doing this, I decided to put a heatsink on the sd/ff:

Where else should I put more in the sd/ff? And in the mobo, which are the CIAs? (rkauer? ;D)

After this I realized I didn't choose a smart location for the PSU, the case wouldn't close, so with a LOT of force I removed the Dual-Lock and put it in the right position. Still sticks strong! If the case was not with holes along it i wouldn't have been able to remove it (sticky material works best in continuous surfaces)

But what about the power button?

This button fits right in place LIKE A GLOVE with a little twist and I think it's not only a good location but it also looks good (and red says DANGER )
I still got to put the little backdoor lid (Zetr0?!?), I would have to cut it and then cut a hole for the Vga connector. I am also considering metal hinges.

Finally, how does the DC connector look like in place?

Not only is in the same side of the old power connector, I made it brute-style (no dremel!) and it still looks quite good and unobstrusive I believe.
(it could use a bit of a relocation though, too far to the inside. Hey, it works! xD)

This will be a dreamy live-setup and home use machine
I am waiting for its new memory (64MB) and the AT-ATX converter to get it finished!

The CIA chips are "called" 8520 on any Amiga. Look right at the internal side of the serial and external floppy ports.

I strongly recommend install a small low profile heatsink in the original CPU (who the second most hot chip inside an Amiga, even with an accelerator plugged in).

Alice and Lisa are the hottest chips inside, hands down. But since you plug an internal SD...

BTW: excellent hack!

The plug doesn't lift the Amiga, though it does bend the plug a bit more than wanted. You can notice in the pic. It's just borderside before starting to lift it! Thus, I said, "it could use some relocation" I bet someone can take this one and improve it! Never seen it before, it's a perfect spot
You can also get an AC-DC adapter that has an L-shaped plug

rkauer: I already put a heatsink in the 020m, check the previous page
I'll put some on the CIA but what are the chips in the SD that might need heatsinking?

Also, I think I can file one of the heatsinks so it fits in the circle of the sd board, thus being able to heatsink Alice My heatsinks don't fit by a small, file-able margin

I like of my mod that I am using the top case to attach stuff. Most people, I think, tend to put stuff on the top of mobo components, but I would prefer not to, to avoid gathering heat on top of components that already heat up enough! There's load of space in that part of the case and I recommend people using it. Those Dual-Locks from 3M are certainly extremely powerful and can attach anything with strength and ease!

Go for it

Thanks peeps, glad you liked it.

I am waiting for the ATX converter and the memory for this to be done and finally being able to power it up.

So, got a replacement machine to gut from my friend The C-Men...
My Amiga is ready I think, and I don't know if I am going to do the picoPSU mod again, I am afraid to break it.

Meanwhile, the Amiga keyboard font is so fucking boring I got tired of it:

A subtle, but very cool and personal mod
Thanks to Jope for the help on this! He's the keyboard expert
Took me a while to find the spares for this!

C-64s have a different mechanism. Those came out of a C-128..

Replace the plungers and keycaps, they are a direct fit.

Don't mix the plungers between different model keycaps, they might not always be compatible together.
