Turrican in "The Edge"?
I heard that there currently is a "making of Turrican" in the Edge (uk) magazine.
Since it isn´t available in Germany - would anybody be so kind to scan it? (I hope anybody has it?) |

In fact give me 20 minutes the writing in EDGE is tiny, so I'm gonna need a higher resolution.
Hope you find it interesting, I did. |

I've uploaded a zip of it in the zone, it's 3 pages, they aren't the best scans ever, but you can read it all.
The 1st page was terrible, I had to create a negative otherwise the writing was illegible. It's a bloody interesting article actually. |

Thanks a lot for the Scan!
Mmh. Quite interesting, but the only new thing are the comments from factor 5. BTW: that the name is from "Turricano´s" if officially wrong, its from the duesseldorf telephone-book. More facts at: http://www.nemmelheim.de/turrican/fa..._turrican.html |

Is there another Retro issue out? Or is this the regular Edge?
I got the 2nd Retro issue == fantastic, I still have the last few games to read about, and I have had it for over a month! |

There is also a lovely section on hardcore games that is really good. Treasure have a few in their, and Team17 has a mention with Project-X, although they do comment about not many people getting past the 2nd level |

Interesting link there-had no idea about the amiga-specific version of Turrican 3, I'm sure if Factor 5/Manfred Trenz had done it then it wouldn't have needed to be canned.
And I'm glad to see that some people do remember Turrican originated on the C64 too-I'm not saying the Amiga versions aren't classics in their own right, but it was a C64 miracle piece of coding. |
