Your disk 1 => Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 1 of 3)(Boot)[cr Angels][t +1 Thyrone]
Your disk 2 => Most popular warez version but forgotten in TOSEC
Your disk 3 => Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 3 of 3)(2)[cr Angels][a]

So it looks good

Disk 3 is [a] ? but this disk already exist in Tosec, and from what i know, the problem was that some tracks or cylinder were corrupted, hence the crash in the crystal cavern. with my fix, this doesn't crash anymore.

This is the current name of this disk in TOSEC 2021-08
Since I haven't started sorting, I haven't made any changes in the filenames yet.

I'm not saying that you didn't correct anything, but the fact is that the 3 disks are already known (1 and 3 are in TOSEC and 2 is in warez archives)

Final naming :
Your disk 1 => Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 1 of 3)(Boot)[cr Angels][f NTSC The Patient][t +1 Thyrone]
Your disk 2 => Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 2 of 3)(1)[cr Angels]
Your disk 3 => Shadow of the Beast II (1990)(Psygnosis)(Disk 3 of 3)(2)[cr Angels]

Something's wrong with this:
Code:
Name:	Prison (1989)(Actionware)(US).adf
Size:	901120
CRC32:	b7a14b83
MD5:	7cb43e52243763084fa01b9a57775d7f
SHA1:	a4a6e5327a25b0368c15c005eb360481190a56b0
It crashes right after the intro sequence.
Maybe a copy protection issue ?

Maybe it isn't copy protection after all but just a bad disk image.
Have a look in the zone, I have upped a working image.

In fact, the 1st break of the game is well related to the protection. I had already adapted the QTX crack and even if I went further, there was a new break. Your copy confirms that it is also a bad dump (the last cycliners).
Thank you for your copy

See edited post above.
Protection isn't removed in this version either.

It starts but you can't progress and there's messages in-game like "I pirated this game".
So, no good.

Hmm, perhaps the game was designed that way, even SPS 0416 ipf shows the same message.

[edit]
Yes, it looks like it's supposed to be this way.
All's well then.

After checking, there is the same message with Prison (1989)(Chrysalis)(M4)[0416] ... but yes, it still works.
I think it's a sarcastic message

EDIT : We do the same things in parallel obviously

Yeah, I had to run a double check comparing to SPS0416 + Band & QTX cracks.
They all act the same way in-game.
It had me wound up there for a while, "evil" game devs, that is.

I just broke my record for a single game: 238 ADFs checked for all versions of Syndicate (43 ADFs currently in TOSEC) I'll take a break I think ^^

TURRICAN (the first one)
all the [cr PNA] adf's disks, should be marked as bad crack

you cannot complete the first world, because the grey brick (sort of) that makes the moving platform appear (when destroyed) is missing

---
also, LOST PATROL :

/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr Angels].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr Angels][o].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX][h Bad Boy].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 2 of 2).zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Lost Patrol, The v1.0 (1990)(Ocean)(PAL)(M3)(Disk 2 of 2)[o].zip

all these adf's are confirmed bad cracks, they all fail at the first map scrolling

---
also STRYX :

/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][b dump].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][m baddump].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr QTX][t +4 Band].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr RSi][f 68020 MDR][t +4 RSi].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr RSi][h Mega Soft][t +4 RSi].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr RSi][h QTX][t +4 RSi].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr RSi][t +4 RSi].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr RSi][t +4 RSi][b corrupt file].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr VF].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr QTX].zip
/TOSEC/Games/Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF]/Stryx (1990)(Psyclapse)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr RSi][t +4 RSi].zip

all these adf's are bad cracks, you cannot open the doors with F4 key, to access to further locations

Hi kremiso,
thanks for your tests , however, don't be surprised if they are not integrated in the next TOSEC release, the dat files are already frozen!

I had to add 6 I think. This goes along with the update of the complete set as well as the unidentified alternative disks (except for the Garrison game, it's a real pain to fix as set...)

thanks for your interest in TOSEC, but please don't make a request for APC&TCP games!
However, your fixdat is correct, but if it doesn't work for you even though you have the files in question, it may be a bug in ROMVault
