You missed a gem in there: Shinobi III. Amazing game. Do not overlook it!
Good bag of tricks you acquired there...
And I'll suggest you do a region and 50/60Hz mod on it. If your display can support 60Hz, it's the way most Megadrive games are meant to be played

I think I just agreed to buy an A500+ and an A590.

Any suggestions for additional fast ram for this configuration? It would have to not be autoconfig, I guess, unless it sat between the A590 and the expansion port on the Amiga.

Something like the Kipper2k fast mem expansion?
http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.co...t.aspx?id=1950

I don't think he's making those any longer, but it should be possible to find used occasionally.
And yes, bringing it to 2MB chip by putting 1MB in the trapdoor would also be my first step in upgrading a 500+. PeteAU's board is cheap to build and works great.

I'll definitely be upgrading the chip to 2MB via the trapdoor and there's 2MB in the A590. I'd like 4mb fast, though. Seems better for whdload.

I've heard rumours of a 2mb fast expansion that sits on the CPU but can't find any details beyond an ancient group buy thread on amibay from 2012.

A1000 cleaned outside and dusted off a little inside. Working!
(Might get a Vampire 4000 for this one...)

While thrifting I found an amiga RGB/SCART cable. Looks super poorly soldered and the RGB part of it is really badly soldered, but for £1 it's a real DB23 connector and future soldering practice

2x 60mm AFDP 6025B AcoustiFan.
Installed one into my small external IBM SCSI enclosure (which has my SSD SATA and SCSI converter - basically the only thing making heat is the PSU itself), set it to ultra-silent 5V operation and hit the power button.
I wasn't sure it was actually running until I put my hand behind the vent to check for airflow. Very recommended if that is enough airflow for you and probably good at 12V too.

(3) 128 GB SSD drives to go in my A4000T Toaster/Flyer system using ACards to convert to SCSI. Actually using SATA to IDE adapters and then ACard IDE to SCSI adapters. Tested with an old SATA HD previously.

I think Christmas came a bit early this year

Box: https://s25.postimg.org/pn274nnan/Amiga_Box1.jpg
KS/WB 3.1: https://s25.postimg.org/wrk0dp9zj/Random_A5.jpg

This A1200 as been in storage in it's original Amiga shipping box for over 20 years waiting for an owner!

The warranty seal is still intact and it has not been powered up since it was put in storage.
The condition of the Amiga looked so good that I bought it on the spot as a stock A1200.

It was night when I got it home but I could not wait to test it, so I put in on my desk with small Christmas lights on.
I decided to use the original power supply (black 25W) since it looked like new and after a click, it was like magic!

To my surprise, it booted into an internal IDE HD that had the supplied games/programs from the Magic Pack installed.

Then I noticed WB showing 4MB fast ram available! It turns out the Amiga is upgraded with an Elbox 1200/4 inside, yey!
I will probably open it up at some point to check the condition inside, put a CF HD in and maybe a Vampire in the future

Yesterday I bought a Flip Clock for 8€ and then a mate told me -when he shaw it, before buying it- that it was the same model shown in Back To The Future I (eidetic memory ??).

Well, mine is the same model RC-6015 but it's white and the brand is "National Panasonic" (older/European version?), and it allows you to select between 120/220 watts or also 50/60 Hz so the clock can run accurately in the USA or in Europe too.

Just to comment that if you have/buy a Flip clock that only works with 60 Hz it will be very nice, but the clock won't run at the right speed in Europe.

And now, searching in Youtube I've found a nice mod:

[ Show youtube player ]

So you can listen to Huey Lewis and the News to wake up. In that video he doesn't tell a word about the how-to, but you can watch this other:

[ Show youtube player ]

Basically getting a recorder module like this for 1,31€ https://www.ebay.es/itm/ISD1820-Voic...YAAOSwX3FaC9vT

I have the idea that an external battery case surely won't be necessary if you can get the power from the internals.

And also, if you've got a Panasonic RC-6025 you could also try playing like in the Groundhog Day movie the Sonny and Cher song "I Got You".

... So just an idea to share here

Well, since it's been a while since I've posted on EAB let me list my December purchases:
  • TI-99/4A computers (x2 one silver, one beige non-QI)
  • TI-99/4a Peripherals Expansion Box (RS232, 32k ram, Floppy disk)
  • TI-99/4a Editor/Assembler kit NOS
  • TI-99/4a FinalGrom cart with SD card already configured.
  • 1x Half Height 5¼" FDD + 1x 3½" FDD to replace the PEB floppy disk drive
  • Atari SIO2PC usb floppy emulator
  • Atari UAV video upgrade for my 800XL
  • Epson Actionprinter 4000 dot-matrix printer
  • Bunch of electronics connectors and cables for making all the cable I need
  • Amiga 500 (PAL)
  • Amiga 500 512k ram + RTC modern expansion
  • ATX 350w PSU for the A500 as I can't use the 220v PSU in Canada
  • Amiga SCART cable with audio
  • SCART to HDMI converter (also bought a GSB-8200 for $7Cdn)
  • A set of KS 1.3 floppy for the A500

And here is what I did get rid to finance those acquisition:
  • Amiga 1000 - Too limited expension wise. Those sidecar ram expension are expensive. I'll be better served by the A500.
  • C128 with 1541 FDD - Don't have the room for it and would prefer, and will, getting a breadbin C64.
  • PS4 - Only played Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls on it... No real interest in modern gaming
  • XBox One - Only watch movies on it. Same reason than for the PS4.

And this is what I still have to get rid off:
  • DELL XPS 8700 (i5 Haswell, 16Gb, 2x 1TB HDD, GTX745/4Gig) - I upgraded to a Rizen7-1700X and also have a laptop...
