I'm certain this could have all been worked out in a more amicable way though (as you mention in your post going to court - at least the majority of judges are sympathetic in situations such as this one than trampling over someones liberty).
I agree absolutely.

And to be honest, by now I'm kinda worried. We haven't heard from Peter in quite some time now and I do hope he's still ok.

The last post mentioned a nephew so there is family involved, the dude is fine. It is more than normal to only haphazardly visit a forum.

Hi Peter! I'm really sad to hear this from you. AFAIK this is illegal to block your complete account so you have nothing left.
There's a minimum amount of income / money which may not be touched, called 'Existenzminimum' (existence minimum).

If you are not working anymore for a long time, you are probably getting ALG2 (Hartz IV). If so, you can actually free yourself from GEZ payments.
However, this is not possible backwards in time.

Also consider switching your bank and create a 'P-Konto'.

This is 3 weeks!

Either they locked his mobile internet, too. Or he is in very serious trouble now!

He wrote that he use his own (savings) money for living. No ALG2 or similar.

Hopefully this works out for Peter, or he doesn't get any further in the hole.
