Disposable Hero: Old Graphic Problem
Ciao Toni i noticed that an old problem came back on the menu Disposable Hero, see screenshot.
Works well WinUAE v2.3.0, v2.3.0, v2.5.1. Problem found from v3.0.0 to v3.6.0 Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 22 December 2017 at 08:36. |

Not enough information. Works for me with usual A500 config.

Yeah, but is it an ADF or a WHDLoad version? Which version, if so?
EDIT: Well, I tried the ADF version on Gamebase Amiga, no probs with a plain A500 config. Last edited by Foebane; 04 December 2017 at 19:46. |

I found (already forgotten) note in 3.0b28 changelog:
"- b23 "Fixed missing graphics in Disposable Hero title screen in non-cycle exact modes." broke (again) demo Back in 90 / Samplers. Added quick workaround: only do "Disposable Hero" fix if CPU is 68020+ (=works in most whdload configurations without glitches)." So it only works in 68000 cycle-exact mode or 68020+ any mode. I guess I was trying to fix this properly later.. |

This was the one that worked fine for me, AmigaSystem:
ftp://grandis.nu/Commodore_Amiga/Gam...Hero_Disk1.zip I assume the other two discs in the series have no problems, neither. But the screenshot you've shown appears on this first disc. |

Hmmm, just tested this in WinUAE v3.5.0...
Works perfectly here   Using these disks: ... Disposable Hero (1993)(Gremlin)[cr CLS][t +17 ATX](Disk 1 of 3).adf [CRC: B5A92480] ... Disposable Hero (1993)(Gremlin)[cr CLS][t +17 ATX](Disk 2 of 3).adf [CRC: 98ADD7BA] ... Disposable Hero (1993)(Gremlin)[cr CLS][t +17 ATX](Disk 3 of 3).adf [CRC: 9769D0E2] Also have this set in my configuration file i.e. standard A500 game settings really: a) 68000 b) ECS Agnus - Cycle-exact (Full) |
