Just received mine today!

I've just pulled a SID chip from an old commodore 64 computer and a second SID chip from my existing Catweasel MK3 and inserted the chips on the MK4.

Currently building a new computer at the moment and this will go into one of the free PCI slots!

Should be a useful addition when emulator software etc. fully supports it! Although the current catweasel driver software will only support one SID chip at the moment according to the instructions...

Anyone know where these can be bought in the UK?
The http://www.forematt.co.uk/ place listed on the site looks pretty amateurish.

Don't know any company in the UK other than them that sell it. But I ordered my older MK3 and the new MK4 from a company called: KDH in Germany.

http://www.kdh-shop.de/

Never had any problems purchasing from them and would recommend them.

Yeah, looks indeed very professional.

Afhter two driverupdates my Catweasel mk4 is working like train.
I can copy .adf files from pc to floppy.

So a big hand for Jens Schönfeld from I. C. for that quik driver update service and replY

I'm a happy CWmk4 User, Sid and keyboard not tested yet.
Hope that winuae suport CWmk4 soon !!!

Hi,

if catweasel is not suporting caps i think it can be done.
1. load capsfile in winuae (winuae is suporting caps files)
2. Make empty .adf file in winuae
3. caps file in df0: empty.adf in df1:
4. use xcopy to copy caps to adf (winuae)
5. use adf file to copy to catwesel (flopy disk)

I think that works dont you think so ??

its a lot of work i know

That will only work for non-protected disks - i.e. not the vast majority.

IPF support for the Catweasel is planned, but we don't have a card yet. Jens said he will send us one though.

Oke that's great to hear.
Jens is doing a great job on the drivers ,IPS support is a good thing.
Now only the support for winuae is needed for the catweasel mk4.
But that will be soon, i have read on the forum someware !!!
Zip support is also handy if possible i have every .adf file in a zip file (winuae support zipfiles) for compression.
keep up the good work. hope you get Cwmk4 soon

BTW - Please don't buy one just for IPF support. These things are never 100% guaranteed, and I don't want people pissed at us later if we don't do it for any reason.
