My first Amiga in 12 years!
Look what the postie bought, fresh from Ebay! Was the seller an EAB member, I wonder?
This will be the first real Amiga I've laid my grubby mitts on since 1999... Now it's been a while, but I reckon that this is a pretty mint specimen of an A1200. Pretty much zero yellowing. Intact warranty seal, and an empty trapdoor. Pretty much all the stuff that came with it. Unfortunately no mouse, so I've had to order one from Amikit pronto. Joystick is a generic "Quality Joystick" , and a Quickshot pad. Also got a joy/mouse switch and a parallel joy splitter. No boxes for any of the games. Also, no Workbench disks. Huzzah, it all works. Had to tear myself away from Pinball Dreams to come and post this Here's some stuff I bought to start upgrading. Set of 3.1 chips and a CFHD adaptor. Why the Atari joystick? The guy that sold my Dad our first A500 bundled a second hand of that model of stick in with it. It's what I used for many happy years of Amiga gaming. I'd much rather use one of those than a Zipstick or a Comp Pro Might post some more when I open up the lid, not that a stock 1200 is that exciting . Seems a shame to break the seal, but these things must be done! |

An A1200 in great condition and a genuine Commodore model too. You couldn't wish for a better start than that!

Wasted no time in voiding the warranty and doing the 3.1 and CFHD installs. More pics in the set.

Very nice Amiga you've got there! May I suggest that you get a PCMCIA<->CF adapter, and some fast RAM?

Aah, the 1230-IV. The most reliable card I've ever had. Been through one 1240@40 and three 1260@50 since, and I still miss it a little.
