Feature request - ADZ is inefficient
Hi Toni.
What is current status about supporting following file types: filename.adf.lzma filename.adf.xz Compression ratio is quite impressive compared to adf.gz. |

I've never mention 7z in my post.
Yes, 7z and lzma commands utilize same compression method but they represent slightly different file format. 7z is equivalent to arj, zip, rar lzma/xz is equivalent to gzip, bzip2, compress |

Updated 7z SDK is included in 2.2 beta (I decided to update it while I also updated and recompiled zlib and pnglib with msvc2010)
Unfortunately there is no archive XZ support in latest beta SDK (yet?). Only plain single file decompression/compression. PPMD is supported. EDIT: I finally noticed the thread title, XZ as a replacement for ADZ, ADZ is single file compression (not an archive) = this can be supported in future beta

ADZ is just a shorthand for adf.gz
One of the oldest compressed formats EVER used for Amiga Disk Files, by the way Legendary "Lazarus" site had most of their images in .adz ... ahhh the memories ^^ |
