The writer of the Retrogamer article is the above poster S(tuart) Campbell so he might be able to give us an update.

Is it based on the arcade game? That was a great shoot'em-up...

Yeah It's based on the arcade game, but I say it is more like the Mega Drive port.

I reckon the SNES port is better.

...or MAME32 or FM Towns

Still, it would be nice to have the full game on the Amiga even though personally I don't think it's a good conversion...

Sorry a bit off topic here.

Are you the Stuart Campbell who wrote i think for Amiga Power?.. I think you had a really odd haircut at the time too, a mohawk type thingie? ..

s. campbell: how much did you get paid working at Amiga Power.

Must of been a cool job getting paid to play games.

I just tried a disk labelled as a playable demo of Raiden, although it doesn't say demo anywhere on the screen and starts from the beginning of the arcade level.

If this is indeed the game we are all talking about this is really sad because it is exceptionally well done conversion and one of the best AGA games I have ever played.

Shame we never got a full version, even in 1995 or whatever I would have bought this for my A1200, pisses all over the crap released for AGA by the big names of the time anyway.
