Help, 1084S black screen and buzzing noise

Hi guys,

My recently-acquired 1084S kicked the bucket after lending it to a friend which played with it for 5-6 hours straight. A strange smell came out and the screen started doing a buzzing noise and stayed black.

I saw this video, since I had the SAME exact issue:

So replaced the LOPT and HOT with brand new replacements.

But I still get the same noise and the screen stays black

What could it be? Maybe the brand-new LOPT was dead? (got it as New Old Stock, probably it was old as heck)

Is there any way for me to test the LOPT or the HOT? Or should I look somewhere else?
