Extreme makeover, A4000 case!

I have a VERY manky A4000 case. The top panel is disgusting, rust coming through the paint and a nice layer of crud/oxidation.

The lower frame, drive cage and power supply are rusty, has oxidation and some deep localized rust patches.

I am looking into have the whole lot stripped and re-done!

A few years back, there were a couple of extreme refurbs that involved electroplating of metal parts etc... need to search both here and Amibay for the stuff that was done (a gvp a500 hard drive etc afaik)

Fitsteve had an A4000 top cover sprayed as well.

I will be looking for the correct colour and texture of the paint! looking at the rest of the metalwork, having it professionally stripped/dipped and coated in something. I was thinking about nickel or electroplating?

Found two possibles:

http://www.ashfordchroming.com/area/...plating/Exeter

http://www.eicgroup.co.uk/

Has anyone ever gone this extreme? I want it done so it will last for a long time!

Tia
