Yes, I'm on 10.9.

Can you further explain this "right way"? If I leave everything as default, I don't have working cursor keys in Workbench. If I remove the keyboard.ini, I have cursor keys in Workbench, but not in the FS-UAE menu. To get cursor keys working in both, will I have to edit the keyboard.ini or put custom input in the FS-UAE config file?

See http://fs-uae.net/faq, "The cursor keys do not work", leave keyboard.ini as it is originally, and don't mess with custom input config

As both Amiga cursor keys and Amiga joystick at the same time? That is not possible (in theory it is, but not with FS-UAE as it is). You have to toggle it on/off in the F12 menu when you want to switch between having Amiga cursor keys and joystick emulation...

Is there a way to start with cursor as default and easily toggle to joystick when needed?

Edit: I see it starts cursor as default with "joystick_port_1 = nothing" and I can still use the menu to toggle the joystick. It's just a bit tedious. (press F12, down, down, down, enter, then select... etc.) Can there be a quicker key sequence to toggle joystick?

resize bug on fsuae window

Hi Frode,
resizing FSUAE window on OSX is awkward. Resizing it by dragging the edge of the window, makes the window jump to the bottom of screen, once the mouse click is up again. The new window size is correct after resize, but why is the screen position affected?
greetings

@yesplease, I've actually been porting FS-UAE to SDL 2.0 today (to see if that fixes the reported Retina problems). The resize problem you mention seems to have gone away as well...

@yesplease Don't get too exited, the initial port to SDL2 was just to see if some Mac problems went away, it does not yet really take advantage of SDL2 but is roughly equivalent to the SDL version (but later, it should be able to better handle setups with multiple monitors, support hotplugging joysticks, reduce input lag a bit, etc).

@lesta_smsc No, not any updates in that regard. I'll make sure to post in the net play beta thread when there is anything new to report

A new development version has been released. Changes in FS-UAE 2.3.10dev:
  • Initial support for SDL2 (make sdl=2), does not yet take full advantage of it.
  • Enable SDL2 by default on OS X.
  • New options window_x, window_y and keyboard_input_grab (SDL2 only).
  • New options min_first_line_ntsc, min_first_line_pal.
  • Windows distributions/packaging updated.
  • fs-uae deb package marked as Multi-Arch: foreign, fs-uae:i386 can then be installed on amd64 without breaking fs-uae-launcher dependency.
  • Updated translations: pl [grimi], fi [Goingdown], tr [Decypher], fr [Foul], nb.
  • (Launcher) Fixed dialog centering on OS X.
  • (Launcher) Center main window on desktop when opening.
  • (Launcher) Marked some texts for translation.
  • (Launcher) Use native file/directory dialogs (in most places).
  • (Launcher) Fixed a bug where game info panel wasn’t always refreshed.
  • (Launcher) Code update for compatibility with Python 3.
  • (Launcher) Support for PyQT5 in addition to Pyside.
  • (Launcher) Experimental net play UI is available again.
  • (Launcher) Ensure floppy file name is visible when floppy field changes.
  • (Launcher) Support for hd_requirements = workbench (with online database).
  • (Launcher) Game database now in Cache/Games.sqlite.
  • (Launcher) Database now in Data/Database.sqlite.
  • (Launcher) Updated translations: pl [grimi], fi [Goingdown], it [Speedvicio], tr [Decypher], fr [Foul], nb.
  • (Game Center) Renaming to FS-UAE Arcade (not complete).
  • (Game Center) Merged with Launcher distr on some platforms (Windows).
  • (Game Center) Fix joystick selection on input selection screen.
For this version, there has been some slight packaging changes (again). If you’re using the Windows version, and the setup executables, I recommend you uninstall all FS-UAE* programs before installing 2.3.10dev or newer. Don’t worry, uninstalling will not remove anything from Documents/FS-UAE.

Uninstalling isn’t strictly necessary, but will prevent unneeded cruft from lying around. There’s now a single installer with FS-UAE, FS-UAE Launcher and FS-UAE Arcade together (bundling Launcher and Arcade saves quite some space since libraries are not duplicated). Similarly, if you are using the portable version, you can delete the Programs and or Windows directory from previous versions before extracting the new version to clear out old files.

FS-UAE Game Center is now renamed to FS-UAE Arcade. One advantage is fewer syllables, and it also prevents confusion if/when the full FS Game Center is later released. On OS X, you can delete FS-UAE Game Center.app, it will not be updated. In the Ubuntu PPA, fs-uae-game-center is now a transitional dummy package which pulls in fs-uae-arcade.

If you are using the online database, you need to use the refresh database function after updating.

It should be fixed now (a packaging problem, some files were missing). I didn't have time to bump the version number / make a new release, so the 2.3.10dev files for Windows is now replaced with updated versions (http://fs-uae.net/devel/2.3.10dev/ 29-Nov-2013 00:34).

Frode,

I downloaded the OS X version of 2.3.10. Unfortunately, it does not recognize my Logitech gamepad which was correctly recognized in 2.3.9. It also does not list my trackpad as a device which was shown in the mouse configuration previously.

Is there something I need to do to have FS-UAE see my joystick device again?

Thanks for the latest update, Frode. Just about contains everything that I requested earlier, so thanks again.

I noticed that the latest archives includes FS-UAE Arcade. What is that? The Arcadia?
