Big music module in 4kb intro .... how is it possible ?

In this prod (which is a 4kb intro)

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=88990

there's a module of 178 kb

This goes out of my comprehension .... how is it possible ?

The miracles of Cinter

Cinter is software synthesizer by Blueberry (https://github.com/askeksa/Cinter).

Surely you have noticed that the intro takes a long time to start.
This is because the 'instruments' are algorithmically calculated at that time.

Current intro I'm doing the musician wants to use PreTracker which has a similar precalc on startup for about 15 seconds on a500 (but I've got a funky looking precalc part for that ). Shame it hammers the cpu so hard in the replayer...but it sounds neat.

Ugh.. a lot, and the spikes are sure annoying.
I too overlaid with a blitter clear op. when I was dealing with an AHX module

EDIT: I never checked the format and code of Pretracker but I imagine it as a mix between Cinter and AHX

Really incredible, thanks for the info ross

But it's used so few times

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=75861

Also Pretracker is used few

http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=91332

This probably because is difficult to calculate the instruments at startup ?

Musicians are used to protracker, which has the advantage of having a really fast replayer (and no precalc).

The aforementioned use their environment, which is a bit more complicated and require some extra effort.
