On my version years ago there was no intro picture, but a 'extra memory detected' screen with an animation of a chip spinning, while the game loaded.
Has this been omitted from the whd version, or did I have some pre-release version? (it was cracked of course..)
This picture is displayed when extra memory has been found by the game. In the WHDLoad versions (of games generally), the extra memory check is removed when only files are cached by the program because WHDLoad can cache them more efficiently. In my original version of Leander however, I think it displays the picture with the dragon, then the spinning chip, so maybe yours was also a pre-release version.

Yeh, it's a pity the screen wasn't included regardless of memory checks as it is quite nice.

A marginal improvement by me.

I'm going back to playing Lemmings!
