Newbie question: Fantastic Dizzy crashing

So I got my Amiga 1200 up and running with a hard drive + WHDLoad installed by the previous user but since he removed the Blizzard accelerator, I have to wait for the 8MB fast ram card to use any of the hard drive games.

Luckily I have a bunch of boxed games already and one of those is Fantastic Dizzy which for some reason crashes when loading the second disk - right after it says "more than 1MB detected" it throws a bunch of red artifacts on-screen and that's that. I actually own the game twice so I tried the other disks and got the EXACT same crash.

The box states the A1200 is compatible so anyone know what's up? Surely it can't be the Kickstart version since the A1200 came with the 3.0 I have now?

Sounds like some sort of hardware issue if the same result occurs on two different sets of disks. Maybe a RAM issue. I'm not sure how you could narrow this down.

Try holding down both mousebuttons on reboot to access the early boot menu. From here you can disable the CPU caches to improve compatibility and disable the hard disks to free up memory.

I'll try that thanks - just waiting on an 8MB fast ram card to arrive since my A1200 is taken apart for now - I don't want to open it up too frequently because I don't think those plastic screwholes can handle a lot of opening ...
