Problem with PCMCIA SDHC card
Hello.
I bought a card with PCCARD and CardBus logos. The manual says: Auto sensing PCMCIA / CardBus interface Is there any program to check that accesses the PCMCIA A1200? I have installed the CDF. When turning on the A1200 with the card inserted, the WB 3.1 keeps the clock as a pointer. Removing the PCMCIA card with the power on, the WB calls reinserting the unit. Even given the label of the SD card. If I turn on the A1200 WITHOUT PCMCIA when insert PCMCIA does nothing happens. This card is compatible with my A1200? Thx and sorry for my english |

I'm fairly sure that the CardBus interface is not compatible with the Amiga PCMCIA port.

Yes, you can buy PCMCIA adapters on eBay for both CF cards and SD cards which are compatible with the Amiga. I would recommend that you avoid any listing which specifically mentions CardBus compliance.
Because the compatibility of any given CF/SD card or adapter casnnot be guaranteed, it is best to buy only items which have been reported to work correctly with an Amiga interface. I have both a Canon PCMCIA PC CARD ATA adapter which works with CF cards and a 5-in-1 PCMCIA adapter for SM, MMC, SD, MS and MS Pro cards, type PANM5N18C, which works with SD cards in my Amigas' PCMCIA ports (though neither came from eBay). |
