Battle chess CDTV

Hi, new to the forum as I have been searching for Battlechess for the CDTV.
I have been unable to load the .img (doesn't load beyond CDTV emblem) from the server both on a physical CDTV and an emulator so was hoping someone had another image I could try.

Great game, I have the original around here somewhere. I love playing Chess and the CDTV version was good for the time period it was released in my opinion.

.img sounds like it is image of data track only, without audio tracks.

I could not find the complete image it's not in tosec afaik

Surely you used a version of Battle Chess dedicated to CD32, to start the CD or ISO from CDTV or from WinUAE, edit the Startup-sequence of Battle Chess and disable the command "JayMoose19" (example ;JayMoose19).

JayMoose19 seems to have problems starting from Startup-sequence, from Shell instead it works.

To your image .IMG there are no audio tracks but you can add them created a .cue, maybe if you can not see I can create a functional ISO.

But could be a Clone CD Image. It needs the proper .ccd or .cue file too though.

In fact, the .img files are never alone usually

Well the image I upped does have audio tracks but WinUAE in CDTV quickstart mode fails to load it.

Maybe someone with a real CDTV could give it a spin and test if it's an emulation related error ?

I have a ISO+MP3 rip which seems to work fine. I can upload it if you want. Make sure you select Level 1 in the options, or the CPU thinking process takes forever (had it on Level 6 as default).

Your ISO does not seem to be bootable

I also created an ISO + mp3 version using the native CDTV executables of the WHDLoad version and it seems to work well on WinUAE QuickStart CDTV but it should also be fine on Real CDTV.

Now I would like to create the ISO with the data of the ISO of Retroplay.

The CDTV however suffers if you use the audio tracks (little memory)

Had no problems with audio stutter. Well, tested it only a few minutes.
