Maverick 5 has parameters for a 2 disk version of Lemmings - Might be worth a try - I never could backup 1 disk version without hardware
anyone know more about what type of protection is used?

Yes I think your right I remember being told before that Copylock was used - What about the one disk version "Lemmings (Europe) (Free with Commodore Promotion Pack) IPF" is this Copylock track 0 side 1?
I see theres also IPFs of the USA version now - I wonder if this is the same.

it patches the copylock, else it wouldn't work.

Thats great yeah Cyclone or one of its clones usually backup anything.

<strike>The MFM tracks would still be there - so would still need to be extended ADF?</strike>

Just wanted to confirm all versions/IPFs of Lemmings use same protection?

Edit : - Used Maverick with 2 Disk IPF version - Patched CopyLock - Used PowerCopy to write MFM tracks back to Floppy Disks - Not a true original but close enough.
