So finally this will be a new standalone game? Bitmapsoft will release it physically too, so boxed?

I though Rogue will be something like a datadisk or mission disk for BDR, this in a new information for me

It started as a expansion disk for Black Dawn Rogue, then I rewrote the engine entirely in Blitz Basic so it could be AGA, then it keep getting bigger and bigger until all the remained of the original idea was the name!

The actual expansion was finished back in Feb we just chose to bench it it instead

thanks Manossg! Its the best one yet, taken the positives from the last one and tried to address all the points raised from the users. Plus loads of extra stuff we`ve never done as well. Much better combat, enemies with ranged attacks, proper puzzles and rpg mechanics, monster hordes......

Do you think it will be released this year, or 2022?

first runthrough of the first level in the game. Much has changed since we last previewed it. The game features 3 classes - Brawler,Gunner and Technomage each with their own strengths and weaknesses with both melee and ranged combat using both guns and a rune based magic system using the full Microlite20 rpg system for a full and rich realtime RPG experience
Comming soon to all AGA Amigas

Looks amazing! Only thing I dislike is the DM-like counter-intuitive magic system, but I guess you can't have everything.

Awesome work!

I thought about which way to go with the magic system but i loved DMs magic system and noones seemed to have replicated it and I like the idea of scrambling to remember what your spells are compared to the just click fireball to cast fireball in combat

Imho nicer magic system I've seen was in Grimrock2. It retains the element of memorising rune combinations, but casting the spell is done in a 3x3 touchpad, with a click & drag like fashion. It's fresh, intuitive and dynamic and makes casting easier to memorise and much faster to cast.

There must be a reason why nobody replicated this system. :P

This is a reason why I am hesitant to replay DM when I haven't played for some weeks; having to re-learn the combinations from scratch. Off-putting, to say the least.

I am! In fact, BDR was so great that it made even the mapmaking feel bearable!
