I know there is no reason why

but I'm wondering why F-Secure Anti-virus (ok it's one of the more suspicious anti-virus) tells me that the dpcpublt.library might be a destructive program ?

I'm sure there is no virus. I just like to know if someone had the same experience with another anti-virus.

Hmmmmm, worrying is that. I take it that's a PC virus checker that's picked out this file? I've heard of one or two PC viruses on aminet, but none like this. Still we should check it out.

Not sure what that lib is used for or which program may have installed it. It's not one of the default wb libs.

My virus checker (PC-cillin) with an up-to-date reference file found nothing. How about others?

While I'm posting, just a quick mention that I forgot to put a "D" drawer in the games directory. No biggy, but I thought I'd just mention it before one of you noticed. Really must learn the alphabet

Another small note - you may want to label any PC directories or devices "PC", as, just like the cd icon, it'll display a nice icon on the WB for you.

PS - just noticed, thanks to whoever changed the name of the thread from 10MB to 13.6!

No virus noticed here using AVG... alt.binaries.warez.amiga might be a good place to look if someone else wants to check it out.

Thanks v8juice!

Here is a screen cap of the classic wb3.0 V4F for those wondering what it's like.

A neat feature of Scalos is it's ability to customize the title bar. I've set it up to display the ROMS, chipset and CPU used as well as local time. American users might want to swap the day and month around. Over here in the UK we use dd/mm/yy format!

Akira, I would love it if people offered a few WB designs for us all to enjoy!

One for 2.0/68000 users would be excellent, as would a souped up 3.0 version for more powerful A1200's with extra features such as VisualPrefs, Birdie, magic-TV, newicons on a higher colour pallette. AIAB of course has many of these, but it runs too slow on real A1200's (even accelerated ones) and is designed for Picasso. That's why having real user WB efforts is so great:

They are designed for the real thing. And "nothingbeatstherealthing" [copyright Akira 2002]

A souped up 3.0 for TVres would be fantastic and then a separate one for those with multisync/scandouble monitors.

Come on people, let's see what you can get out of the official commodore WB's and aminet! Some of you must be proud of your WB setups. If it's 1.3-3.1 then get it zipped and let's have a look!

Hey, I run my A1200 (030@50 inside) in Productivity/64 colors. So perhaps I could do that too

But Id like to do the 2.0 A600/500+ setup first! (would run swell on an A3000!)

Look here for my A1200 setup:

Ok i have added 3 games now as trying to set a standard for the new WB's.

There are now a few people involved in this. I May set up a Page on the net just for these WB's if there is enough interest.. To make it easier to download from.

What do you think..?

Just to save any confusion here the above screenshot is NOT of Bloods WBv4 that is available for download.

Is is a screenshot of a work in progress version of Bloods WB
And is currently not available yet. (maybe it will be available later tonite) I need to FULLY test on a REAL MIGGY 1st.

If you want Bloods WBv4 goto Emu Resouces on my site and there's alink to an url i put it on there.

But i must say all i have done is UPDATED Bloods wbv4 for those who DON'T want a CLASSIC look.

But it has all of his HARD work still in there. So all the goodies he installed are still available.

So credit where credit is due to Bloodwych

Well, I think you've managed to work at least one person up into a major frenzy, myself, I can easily wait until you get things the way you want them & also add that this is all very much appreciated & helpful for an old fart like me.

That's what I think

Ok i have completed it at beta stage. now known as

Workbench 3 Plus Beta

I will post a link in total-amiga/emu resources as soon as it's uploaded.

It's a 17.5 meg file now

It's rared when you unrar it there are 2 ZIPS (A & B) you need BOTH get them to your Amiga in your favourite way. (I use CDROM)

Then Simply Unzip them.

It Runs on Winuae also but if you use Winuae then i would if i was you Configure it To suite a Monitor. and Remove MagicTV from the Startup

I've done a last minute update to the classic 3.0WB and added the following:

*Magic Copper backgrounds (uses NO extra chipram)

*New icon editor

*New icon update system

*Several Picture datatypes - direct support of many formats including JPEG/GIF for backgrounds

*Updates to the filetypes and actions systems

It's now V4.1F, but essentially these were minor updates - more tidying up.

If you want tony I'll give you an exact list of the updates so you can add them to your power edition to bring it up to 4.1.

Tony, can you pm me an FTP account on your server? Or can I use the ones you've given me before?

This is turning out to be a great community project!

The thing that took me the longest to set up on that WB was Scalos from scratch. Anyone who's installed it knows it has no menus (popup or title) and requires a hell of a lot of configuring to get it up to speed and feel user friendly. The latter took the most time - getting everything working exactly as I wanted it using scripts and cli progs/commands. Searching through aminet for all the best utilities that accept WB arguments or CLI commands was tiring too. I've learnt a hell of a lot from building a Scalos WB!

Go Tony for the power edition!
