Weird E-UAE (AmigaOne) Joystick/input issue
Hi!
Wondering if anyone has the answer to this weird issue I've installed E-UAE on my AmigaOne and have setup a basic Classic Workbench with WHDLoad which runs fine but when I change the input options to 'Joystick' or any of the other Keyboard defauls (like arrow kets and CTRL/ALT) it always defaults to Port 0 - Mouse & Port 1 - Mouse It just wont save the setting If I don't touch anything the defaults Port 0 - Mouse and Port 1 - 8,4,6,2 & 5 are mapped and working as Joystick. I also can't find a list of shortcut Keys, I've read all the docs to no avail, so each time I want to restart I have to quit out and reload, no way to get back to the GUI? Any idea's and suggestions appreciated! Cheers, Steve. |

Given EABs classic focus, methinks you may have to post over there,

@DDNI,
Although I didn't fix the issue with my E-UAE configs if I run 68k Apps via RunInUAE the Joystick is automatically detected and works great. Its also a much nicer way to run the games, you can run WHDload games straight from the Icon from OS4.1 (it lauches E-UAE with a set config and launches WHDLoad all in a few seconds) You can even run an ADF from double clicking on the ADF! How cool is that! In this case it runs in KS1.3/A500 setup. Again Joystick is working perfect I even ran Quake 68k (I'm not sure if this is using the built in 020/JIT emulation though) but its bloody quick, at 1024x768 its over 30fps Must say I'm very impressed with the AmigaOne Steve. |

I would think running Quake 68k would use the built in Petunia this should also be able to run system friendly Apps
E-UAE as is will probably only just! run AGA stuff - There is a a bounty being worked on for JIT E-UAE I belive by Álmos Rajnai himself. Edit : Nice buy -Think I saw the thread on Amibay you got a very sweet price/deal on this would be intrested in review with pics of your new hardware. I think you're right about the Quake 68k as it runs immediately, I tried to force it to run with RunInUAE (drag and drop) and it loaded my little Classic Workbench and crashed lol. I had no idea there were 68k friendly apps in OS4.1, thats really awesome and the more I get into this the better it gets. I've thought about getting one for a while but I tend to sit on the fence till a good deal comes along I'm going to re-case the A1 in a small MiniITX case with slim DVD, I'll knock up a little project thread with some pics and some YouTube Vids, hopefully by then I have some kind of order to my setup its icons everywhere at the moment lol There are some pics in the 'what did you buy thread' here and here did you see those? Steve. |

@DDNI/Boo Boo
I made a little Vid for my YouTube Channel [ Show youtube player ] I test out GLQuake running at 640x480x16 in MiniGL followed by the 68k version of Amiga Quake (this uses the JIT Emulation built into OS4.1) I'm running this at 1280x768x8 Software Rendering! Duke Nukem 3D is also run at 1280x768x8 with Software Rendering. Wipeout 2097 using WarpOS Emuation to run as you can see it runs very well but the shadows are glitchy. PRDoomGL is the MiniGL port of Doom for OS4.1, there are some graphical glitches that can possibly be fixed by disabling some of the GL extesions. Finally I test out RunInUAE, I load up an ADF by double clicking on it! I also test some WHDLoad Games run directly from OS4.1 I also demonstrate the quick boot option into Workbench 3.x via E-UAE/RunInUAE. I hope you enjoy the Vid! Steve.
