Sprite palettizing : 21 enemies done / 36 total ;

I have found that thanks to the roms extraction, it's easier to do the palettes and quicker.

I have also splitted each background blocks. those will get the correct palette as well

2 days of work until now, the right way and "easiest" is to work the tiles and the sprites straight out of the arcade board roms.

I have even found unused bonus for example ahahah And the palette system makes it easy to repalette :

color 00 is transparency (same as color 15)
color 01 is always black
color 02 to 14 are used for the sprite
color 15 is the second transparency (we reduce it to the same as color 00)

Good point is that when a sprite is applied the right palette, you simply need for a sprite of the same enemy to copy the colors to the colors 02-14 slots and that's it !

The graphics are not big really, but there are lots and lots of them.

Update : I have almost all enemies sprites with the correct palette (Sega System 16 format, but easy to work with before conversion).

Update:

sprites palettization : is 95% done (assets prepared, etc).
Levels palettization : blocks currently in progress (and injected per round folder)

I should be able to send everything in a few days to Acidbottle.

Hello Acid, i have reviewed all the sprites of the arcade board, you will find here the link to get ALL the sprites with ALL the frames (including the unused sprites and bonuses/frames) : https://we.tl/t-z51y2LxU8z

For everyone else, i let you enjoy the marvellous colors of this game sprites

Next to come, the background parts prepared as 16x16 tiles for easiness.

I have repaletted 3 rounds for the moment, i continue

To be honest I owe a lot to whoever created Hoot, is the best music player someone that want to port a music from arcade could wish of: (was pointed to me from Luca della Regina) can play a lot arcade games, some megadrive, most X68000 games, can turn on/off channels and have a record function (albeit i could just use Audacity) - a must!

That did help me to grab the instruments - that however need to be downsampled edited and finetuned for loops, etc. - and to grasp the single channels melodies to reproduce them properly in milkytracker.

Is a japanese program for Windows, and need a key code (free) to be sent from the web site email every 90 days and pasted in the .ini file to work behind 60 seconds of reproduction.

Can be downloaded here:

You could effectively try to replicate the 2x SN76489 setup of the arcade game with four software channels, so that's not too far-fetched

There was a Monsterland SE update courtesy of earok a while ago, not aga though. I doubt I would prioritise a game that already exists, to be honest.

More chance of this one:
