Sorry, but it IS scrambled.
It wouldn't, however, if really written in the other direction, say, 12345678 could have been written 87654321. But really, 78563412 has no sense.

LE is the mirroring of BE (and vice versa of course) - in your example 87654321.

But whatever. The real world doesn't care.

Eh, not exactly. Of course the change is its own reciprocical, but 12345678 converted to LE isn't 87654321 but 78563412.

Indeed, but no writing systems write out their letters like BADCFEHG.
